1. The device is not connecting to the GPRS net. Why?

Check the APN settings, the power supply and power requirements of the module, as well as the GSM antenna connection and signal strength.

2. The module sends a long line of continuous letter / sequence SMS message to the SMS forwarding featured phone number. What is the reason for this?

This phenomenon happens when you do not receive a regular SMS( text) to the phone module, but some kind of multimedia message (MMS photo) or some other encoded message (for example, encoded Cyrillic letters with accents or other capitalization). An industrial phone module cannot handle this; therefore, the mentioned letter/ sequences converts it into a Unicode form and forwards it, in this case (depending on the size of the message it can send 1 MMS in 3 or 4 SMS). The device is not broken; just what we described above causes this phenomenon. If this occurs regularly, it suggests that it is an advertising / marketing message from the service provider. Because these are real messages, there is not much that you can do against this; maybe it is possible to ban this messages by the service provider or you can turn off the message forwarding function (in the settings: delete the SMS forwarding phone number), if this is not absolutely necessary.
